Since 1949, Great Britain has celebrated the horse and it's equestrian athletes with a climactic end to the show season- The Horse of the Year Competition!
This year, the festivities begin on October 7th - 11th, 2009.

After 40 years in the infamous Wembley Arena in London, the competition moved to the NEC Arena of Birmingham in 2002 to accommodate record attendance that continues to grow!

It is a place to which all horse owners and riders aspire, as top show jumper John Whitaker highlights, "Winning at HOYS is the pinnacle of every equestrian's career."

Visitors to Horse of the Year Show can enjoy a fantastic shopping experience whichever performance they choose to attend. With a huge variety of goods and services on sale among the 250 exhibitors, there is something for everyone and unlimited choice for you and your horse!

Enjoy the ever-popular Equine Feature Area where visitors can come face to face with a variety of different horse and pony breeds and Rider Signings/Autographs with top competitors such as The Whitakers (Ellen, Robert, William, John and Michael), Tim Stockdale, Ben Maher and Geoff Billington.

Food and beverages will be flowing galore at the Westside Brasserie, The 'Champions' Restaurant, The Lakeside Restaurant and endless food kiosks and snack markets.
