August 2009 Newsletter

by Hidden Trails 08/22/2009

It has been a while since our last Newsletter. What has happened ?  What is new ?
The economy is still lagging, but we can see signs of improvements, which relates into more sales and now we are starting to encounter problems with space - many popular trips are sold out for the summer.  So now is the time to reserve your seat in the saddle on one of our Fall trips in Central or South America -- some excellent trips are waiting for you and most trips are based on the US$ - so no exchange rate issues.

Much has been made about the "Swine Flu" - especially in Mexico. What a shame. It really has hurt our Mexican partners and it was so not-necessary. None of the regions where our rides are located -- had anyone that contracted this flu --  personally I think -- it was all a big hype. Sure we need to prepare for new viruses and we need to protect ourselves -- but is it really necessary to fill the news for 24 hours with generalizations ?  The UK has had many people catch it - and nobody is suggesting that we do not travel to England.

Mexico: The good news is that travel to Mexico has never been as inexpensive ! Currently we have a Special Offer for the "Colores de Mexico" ride for $895 all inclusive accommodations, all gourmet meals, wine with dinner, and 6 full days of horseback riding - and some of the best riding at that !!
Offer for the Oaxaca Explorer Ride:  Book one and get the second spot FREE !

USA: Another ride that is being offered at almost 50% discount is our beautiful Wine Country Ride in California - on gaited Rocky Mountain horses. A 7-day trip is available from $1,395 pp

Canada:  One of our clients' favorite is the Appalachian Gourmet Ride in Quebec, Canada. 7 days for only $925 -- with a further 10% discount offer at the moment !!  The Gaspe Peninsula Ride (for more experienced riders) also offers a 10% OFF discount at the moment.

We are still looking for some participants in our amazing Atacama Desert Ride in northern Chile from Oct 8 to 17 -- a 10-day expedition.

We are still looking for some participants in our extravagant Colonial Haciendas Ride in the highlands of Ecuador. Stay at historic places and ride on well trained horses. We have 3 riders confirmed and need 1 more for August 29 to September 5

The Alta Tuscany Ride in Italy is currently available for only $1,375 ($340 discount)  !! with lodging at the castle Castello Cristina.

Udaipur was named world's best city by Travel + Leisure readers!
The annual list of the "World's Best Cities" as chosen by readers of Travel + Leisure magazine was topped by a city that many North Americans may not be familiar with: Udaipur, India.
Surprising to some, but to others who have been, they can understand why.  It is an unspoiled and exotic destination, an ancient city rich in culture and heritage.  Udaipur is filled with art collections and fabulous shopping opportunities for unique fabrics, exotic antiques and hand-made clothing.

We offer amazing excursions out of Udaipur, India on the beautiful and fiery Marwari horses unique to India! Come and join us on one of these amazing rides -- a visit to the Pushkar Camel Fair is part of some of our rides in November !!
We recently add a beautiful video online that was taken on one of our riding safaris in Rajasthan.
Check out our available trips and new video in India!

We constantly update our Video Library and add videos from our riding vacations worldwide - have a look at our videos currently online.
